insomnia

insomnia is a trans·disciplinary project in which we explore metamorphosis and identity as seen through the prism of our ever-changing bodies in a world in flux. Inspired by authors Paul B. Preciado, Octavia Butler, and Donna Haraway, we use movement and voice to share stories of trans·formation, aging and becoming.

insomnia is about the space between present narrative and future dreams. We stand at the intersection between the stories we inherit and those we invent, in the liminal space between the no longer and the not yet.

insomnia is a hybrid project, divided between two bodies of movement research : a 35-minute duo combining contemporary-urban choreography and operatic singing on loop station, and a circus-theater piece with text and live music.
